Online Watercolor Lessons through TakeLessons.com
All levels from beginner to advanced. Age groups from 9 years through adult. Each lesson is geared to your experience and expectations. Lessons may cover techniques such as: as wet-on-wet, dry brush, creating washes, tipping in, and using resist (masking). Also, mixing vibrant hues, creating dew drops on flowers, learning your colors through creating grid matrixes. Learn watercolor sketching and journaling and using products such as watercolor crayons and pencils.
Creating Textures: Using salt, layering, sponging, scratching, spattering, lifting, glazing, etc.
Planning and design tips: Considering your light source. Using your phone to help you edit your painting. Understanding basic design elements, conquering value, creating a pleasing composition, directing eye-flow, and cropping, may be covered.
Other Skills and Best Practices: Taking care of brushes. Paper selection. Plein air painting, painting outdoors in the open air. Painting from photographs or from still lifes in your studio.
Subject matter can include: landscapes, seascapes, florals, abstracts, still life, color grids, and more.
